“Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t.” – Bill Nye

One of our main goals, as The Rising Risk Professionals, is to provide educational events that include some of the brightest minds in the Chicago Insurance Market.  Liz Walker, the Director of Enterprise Risk and Global Insurance for Groupon, will be speaking on her industry experiences and career path.  She will also answer any questions from attendees.  Prior to her experience as a risk manager, Liz was outside counsel representing insurers in large claim cases; she also worked in the Mass Litigation Claims department at Zurich.  Her knowledge and experience makes her a true asset to Groupon as they continue to grow and evolve in this ever-changing tech environment.

Come join us for the second RRP event of the year on Thursday, April 26th, 2018.  Drinks and light appetizers will be provided after the event.

In addition, the event will provide plenty of time to network with other attendees.  Come meet like-minded professionals in the insurance industry and expand your network.  We hope to see you there!

    "The Future of Claims Adjusting"

    Wednesday, May 9, 2018
    2:30 - 6:00 p.m.
    Union League Club of Chicago

Insurance claims came sharply into focus last year as adjusters faced the worst year for catastrophe claims on record. While the industry responded well to the 2017 disasters, other challenges lie ahead, including: finding qualified staff to replace retiring baby boomers, adopting new technology to improve claims assessment, making the best use of predictive analytics without sacrificing human judgment and responding to surges in demand for claims services after disasters.

Please join us on May 9th for our Annual Hines Symposium where we'll address these challenges in an informative panel discussion.
