The Catholic Diocese of Gary is searching for an Insurance Analyst to join our team!  This person will be responsible for the management of the diocesan insurance program.  This person will learn the structure of the Diocesan Insurance Program which includes the self-insurance retention layer and excess carrier layers of the plan.   The analyst will maintain statistical data and other related insurance information such as diocesan building appraisals.   This person will identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor diocesan operational and strategic risk as well as monitor and analyze parish and school risk and implement programs to manage and reduce areas of exposure including distressed buildings or deferred maintenance issues.

The successful candidate will have strong oral and written skills, the ability to work independently handling multiple projects and have the ability to work well with others.   A Certificate in risk management or bachelor’s degree in finance or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a risk management role is required.  Nonprofit and Church related experience preferred.
